By last Saturday (14-Aug-2010), I applied for my provisional certificate, consolidated statement of mark sheet and the refund of my caution deposit. Degree certificate can be received only after we get the provisional certificate and the consolidated statement of mark sheet.
Provisional certificate and consolidated statement of mark sheet:
To apply for provisional certificate and consolidated statement of mark sheet, I submitted the following to the Deputy Controller of Examinations (Distance Education), Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600025.
- attested photocopy of bachelor degree certificate
- duly filled application form for provisional certificate and consolidated statment of mark sheet
On submitting the application, I was asked to collect the provisional certificate and consolidated statement of mark sheet after a month from my study centre (College of Engineering, Guindy).
09-Oct-2010: I received the provisional certificate, consolidated statement of mark sheet and degree certificate from my study centre (College of Engineering, Guindy).
Refund of caution deposit:
To apply for the refund of caution deposit I did the following:
- filled application form for the refund of caution deposit
- went to my study centre (College of Engineering, Guindy) and got the recommendations from the coordinator of study centre on the application form
- submitted the application form along with a self addressed envelope affixed with postal stamp worth Rs.25/- to the Centre for Distance Education, Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600025.
On doing as said above, I was said that I would get the refund within the next 45 days.
07-Sep-2010: I got the registered post with Demand Draft of Rs 5000 (caution deposit refund) from Anna University.
